Dr Alan Mendelsohn has been looking after the eye needs of Fort Lauderdale, Miami and South Florida patients for over 30 years. The Miami ophthalmologist has considerable surgical experience with many different types of eye disease. Whether it’s cataract surgeries or treating glaucoma, red eyes or diabetic retinopathy, patients are in the best of hands.
Dr. Mendelsohn also provides patients with lens replacement operations that involve AcrySof IQ, ReSTOR, and Toric IOL lenses. He maintains longstanding affiliation with Baptist Eye Surgery Center and Memorial Same Day Surgery Center.
Active in his professional community, Dr. Mendelsohn has been involved with the Broward County Medical Association, was a past president of Florida Society of Ophthalmology and was treasurer of the Florida Medical Association’s Political Action Committee.
Studying at Northwestern University, Alan Mendelsohn was president of his medical school class for three years and in the 1980s was chief resident with Northwestern University’s ophthalmology program.
